Root Surface Debridement

If you have problems with your gums which we can detect by performing a Basic Periodontal Examination, root surface debridement may be needed. This involves the use of local anesthetic which will increase the comfort of this procedure. Calculus which has formed in very hard to reach places can be removed by using special instruments to thoroughly and comfortably clean the area. If needed for the whole mouth, this treatment is normally performed over two visits.
